The project involved the phased window replacement of just over 1,000 windows for the Melia White House Hotel near Great Portland St. The hotel was live at all times and access was provided to certain restrictive areas via either scaffolding or roof based cradles. The project's success was dependant on the close communication with the hotel managements teams, agreeing on a schedule of room releases to ensure a consistent flow of works to ensure scaffold/cradles were being utilised most economically. Close coordination between our main window supplier, our site teams, the hotel staff and management ensured a smooth and trouble-free installation (as well as maximising the hotel’s potential to fill their rooms).
Works include:
Phased window replacement
Making good works to rooms
Consideration of noise for customers
Up-front design phase for planning
Close of-ordination of room release
